How often do you look at apps?
Apps run on a rolling cycle and are looked at as often as possible or at least once a week. If you have submitted your app and not heard back after 4 days, please PM us.

Is there an activity check?
There sure is!

AC runs the last week of every month and requires one post (either network or logs) or 30 comments (across no more than two posts/logs) per character.

Failing the AC automatically earns a strike. Characters which fail the AC may be reclaimed without penalty once in 4 months. If you fail the AC, there is a 3 day window in which you can reclaim your character.

Players on hiatus are exempt from activity checks, but be aware that if mods notice players repeatedly going on hiatus around AC time, we may take action.

Note that players who wish to "rank up" their characters into the second highest or highest tier must demonstrate double activity with the character they wish to rank up for at least 2 months (2 posts or 60 comments across no more than 3 posts/logs).

Do I have to have an HMD post on my journal?
No. It's strongly recommended you do, but is not required.

Instead, every other month, there will be a game-wide HMD post in the OOC community. Participation in this is required.

Are there events?
Yep! Major events will be run approximately every 6-8 weeks and will be announced 7-10 days before the event starts to allow ample time for players to plot with one another. Other, smaller events will occur at random in between major events and will not be announced ahead of time.

Most events will be optional; only a few will have required participation. If sign-ups are required, they will be posted along with the event information.

And on that note, please be aware that if mods notice one particular player repeatedly jumping on plot information or events before anyone else gets a chance to, we may ask that player to take a step back so that someone else can have a go.

First off, to all potential assholes, c'mon. Don't be that guy.

Okay, now for the rest: we always encourage talking issues out with each other first, but we also know that's not always possible. If it's just a minor misunderstanding, please do your best to talk to your fellow player before bringing things to us. If you don’t feel comfortable talking to that player for some reason, speak up, and mods will do their best to help mediate the situation.

There isn't a strike policy here, because we know people make mistakes and that misunderstandings happen. If a pattern of behavior starts showing up, however, we'll take action.

RP is awesome but sometimes you just don’t have the time to engage in that hobby, and that’s okay. Your life should always be your top priority. If you’re moving, changing jobs, have family things going on, or just need a break, we encourage you to take a hiatus. Please be aware that any hiatus longer than 4 weeks will need to be discussed with a mod first. If you believe that you may need to take a hiatus longer than 8 weeks, we strongly encourage you to temporarily drop the game instead. We’ll be here when you get back. Take care of yourself first.
